Man Allegedly Impersonating Deputy Minister of Mines Arrested
Recent revelations have brought to light a fraudulent scheme involving the impersonation of Umaru Napoleon Koroma, the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources. According to a report, an individual, using the phone number +23233152630, masqueraded as “Napoleon Koroma ESQ” to deceive unsuspecting individuals.
Under this false identity, the impersonator, identified as Mohammed Janneh, also known as “Janneh Napoleon,” targeted individuals with false promises of job opportunities, scholarships, and travel arrangements. However, investigations have exposed these claims as entirely fictitious, exploiting the trust of innocent people for personal gain.
Mohammed Janneh was apprehended and taken into custody on May 1st, 2024, pending further investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). This arrest underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combat fraud and protect citizens from exploitation.
The public is urged to exercise vigilance and caution against such scams to prevent further incidents of fraud and deception. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of verifying the authenticity of communications and offers, especially when they involve sensitive matters such as employment and financial opportunities.
As investigations continue, authorities are working diligently to ensure that justice is served and that perpetrators of fraudulent activities are held accountable for their actions. It is crucial for individuals to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities to safeguard the community from exploitation and fraud.
