Mayor Koba Musa Calls for Unity Among SLPP Members at Bo City Dialogue Meeting
At a family dialogue meeting on September 10, 2024, in Bo City, Mayor Koba Musa urged Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) members to unite and work towards the party’s progress. Held at his residence, the meeting brought together party loyalists from various levels to foster unity and strengthen the party.
In his address, Mayor Musa emphasized the importance of maintaining peace within the party, despite the challenges faced. He recounted his previous rivalry with Swahilo Monyaba Koroma during the mayoral race, acknowledging that such contests could have caused division. However, he noted that they chose unity, a decision he urged the party to continue embracing.
The meeting was chaired by Ibrahim S. Kabba, who described it as a step toward healing the divisions caused by the previous elections. Deputy Mayor Hawa Campbell also stressed the need for unity, emphasizing that only by working together could the SLPP succeed in Bo. Some attendees, who had supported rival candidates in past elections, expressed their willingness to move forward and collaborate for the party's future.
SLPP Regional Secretary for the South, Mohammed Massaquoi, encouraged members to uphold the party's values and prepare for upcoming political challenges.
