Mohamed Kallon Calls Up 25 Players for World Cup Qualifiers
Sierra Leone’s newly appointed head coach, Mohamed Kallon, has selected 25 home-based players for training ahead of a crucial World Cup qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.
The players are scheduled to begin training on Tuesday, February 18, at the SLFA Academy in Kingtom, Freetown, starting at 7 AM.
According to a statement from the Sierra Leone Football Association, all invited players must report to camp by the designated date. The squad includes notable names such as Musa Noah Kamara (East End Lions), Nathaniel Jalloh (FC Kallon), and Suffian Kalokoh (Bo Rangers).
Sierra Leone will host Guinea-Bissau next month in their fifth match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. This game marks Kallon’s first official assignment since taking over as head coach.
The Leone Stars have faced Guinea-Bissau five times, securing one victory, two draws, and two losses. While Sierra Leone has never qualified for a World Cup, their recent strong performance against Burkina Faso has renewed hope among fans and players.
