**President Bio Highlights Education and Governance Reforms in Lecture at Yonsei University**
Sierra Leone’s President, Dr. Julius Maada Bio, delivered a distinguished lecture at Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea, focusing on "Enhancing the Educational System and Reconstructing Governance in Sierra Leone." He emphasized the critical role of education and human capital development in national and global sustainable development. Notably, Sierra Leone has allocated 22% of its annual budget to education over the past six years.
President Bio also discussed governance reforms, including the repeal of the criminal libel law and the abolition of the death penalty, which have improved Sierra Leone’s international standing. Furthermore, he witnessed the signing of a three-year MoU between Sierra Leone's Ministry of Health and Sahmyook Health University to foster international cooperation in health education and research.
