President Bio Swears In Chief Justice Kamanda, Highlights Judiciary's Role in Democracy
President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone presided over the swearing-in of the country’s new Chief Justice, Komba Kamanda Esq., on December 21, 2024, at State House. During the ceremony, the President reaffirmed the judiciary’s essential role as a cornerstone of democracy and pledged continued government support for its independence.
The event began with a formal declaration by Dr. Emmanuel Gaima, Secretary to the President, citing constitutional provisions guiding the appointment.
