
Sierra Leone’s Momoh Kamara Joins Minnesota United FC 2 on Loan Deal
Sierra Leone U-20 midfielder Momoh Kamara has joined Minnesota United FC 2 on a one-year loan from Mattia Football Club, with an option for a permanent transfer. The move will be finalized once Kamara secures his P-1 Visa.
Minnesota United FC 2, based in the United States, competes in Major League Soccer’s developmental tier. Club officials expressed excitement over the signing, praising Kamara’s natural talent and creative playmaking skills.

Kamara began his football journey with Mattia FC in 2017 and has since played for Diamond Stars FC and Leixões SC B in Portugal. Most recently, he returned to Mattia FC before securing this international opportunity.
Internationally, the 19-year-old has represented Sierra Leone at U17 and U20 levels. He is currently participating in the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations, where he made headlines by scoring a hat trick against Egypt, helping his team reach the quarterfinals. Kamara has also appeared for the senior national team in World Cup qualifying matches.
