
Sierra Leone Finance Minister announces national budget and policies for FY2024
Sierra Leone's Ministry of Finance has officially announced that the Minister of Finance, Sheku Ahmed Fantamadi Bangura, will deliver the much-awaited 2024 National Budget and Economic and Fiscal Policy Statement.
The presentation is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parliament House in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The event marks an important milestone for the country as it develops a fiscal roadmap and policies that will guide the country's economic strategy for the coming year. The announcements are expected to cover a wide range of sectors and cover important aspects such as financial planning, economic outlook, investment strategies and social initiatives.
The Ministry invited a wide range of stakeholders, including election officials, heads of ministries and ministries and agencies (MDAs), state-owned enterprises, representatives of development partners and agencies, non-governmental organizations, and district households.
