Sierra Leone Police Ensures Tight Security at SLFA Ordinary Congress

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Ordinary Congress, held at the CATCO Hotel on Wilkinson Road, is being conducted under strict security supervision, led by Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Sylvester Momoh N. Koroma.

 

The congress, which began on Saturday, April 26, 2025, brings together key figures in football governance, including a FIFA Technical Representative, the Minister of Sports, representatives from the West African Football Union (WAFU), Acting SLFA Secretary General Mohamed Benson Bawoh, SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima, accredited delegates, and media personnel.

 

Before the congress began, AIG Koroma and his team carried out a full security evaluation of the venue to ensure a safe environment for all participants. By midday, no security incidents had been reported, and proceedings were ongoing without interruption.

 

Police officers have been strategically positioned throughout the hotel to maintain order and safeguard attendees, demonstrating the Sierra Leone Police’s dedication to providing professional and impartial security services.

 

AIG Koroma highlighted the importance of maintaining peace throughout the event, affirming the police's role in supporting the smooth running of major national gatherings. The Sierra Leone Police reaffirmed their commitment to upholding public safety and order during significant occasions.
