Sierra Leone Swimmers Joshua Wyse and Olamiday Sam Qualify for Paris 2024 Olympics
Joshua Wyse and Olamiday Sam from Sierra Leone Aquatics have officially qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as confirmed by Africa Aquatics. These athletes will represent Sierra Leone in the event, which will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. There is also a possibility of additional athletes joining through wild card entries.
This achievement marks the second consecutive Olympic Games appearance for Sierra Leone Aquatics, with Joshua Wyse returning for his second Olympics.
Both Wyse and Sam attributed their success to their dedication, hard work, and the support from their executive team, especially President Mohamed Turay.
The Paris 2024 Olympics will be notable for its unique Opening Ceremony along the Seine River. Wyse and Sam will join over a thousand athletes from around the world in this 17-day celebration of sportsmanship and global unity.
