Sierra Leone U-17 Team Completes MRI Scans Ahead of Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers

The Sierra Leone U-17 football team has successfully completed pre-MRI scans as part of their preparations for the upcoming U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Senegal.

This essential MRI test, a noninvasive procedure that provides detailed images of internal structures, is critical for assessing player eligibility in youth competitions. All teams in the U-17 category must undergo this MRI test to comply with age regulations, and Sierra Leone’s squad has fulfilled this requirement.

Twenty players from the team passed the initial assessment and are now preparing for the final MRI test, scheduled for October 18 in Senegal, just before the tournament begins.

Sierra Leone is placed in Group B for the competition, set to compete against formidable teams including Mali, Mauritania, and Guinea-Bissau. The tournament runs from October 20 to November 3, offering young players a chance to showcase their talents on an international stage.

The successful completion of the MRI scans marks a significant step in the team's journey as they aim to secure a spot in the prestigious U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
