Sierra Leonean born with both male and female genitals seeks assistance.

Henrietta Aruna, a Sierra Leonean who is a hermaphrodite, born with both male and female genital organs, has reached out for support to raise funds for a crucial surgery.

Aruna's unique condition, known as hermaphroditism, has led to challenges and emotional distress in her life. Despite being physically identified as female due to dominant female features, she faces discrimination and rejection in the society she finds herself in. People, she reveals, label her as evil, and some even go to the extent of avoiding her presence.

In a heartfelt conversation with a reporter, Aruna shared the difficulties she encounters on a daily basis. "I was born with both male and female sex organs, and life has been very difficult for me. I have no place to sleep and find myself begging on the street just to eat because people don't want to associate with me, viewing me as an evil person. This is why I desperately need the surgery."

Despite the hardships, Aruna remains optimistic that the surgery could significantly improve her situation and alleviate the challenges she faces.

In an earnest appeal, she reached out to the government, non-governmental organizations, and compassionate individuals, seeking assistance to raise funds for the surgery that holds the promise of transforming her life. Her plea echoes the hope for a more accepting and inclusive society where everyone, regardless of their unique circumstances, can find understanding and support.
