SLFA Officials Attend CAF Club Licensing Seminar in Accra

Four officials from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) are participating in a three-day CAF Club Licensing Regional seminar in Accra, Ghana, from May 20 to 22, 2024. The event, held at the Kempinski Hotel, aims to update and train attendees on the CAF Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) and other essential licensing procedures.

 

The SLFA delegation includes Acting General Secretary Mohamed Benson Bawoh, Head of Competitions and Club Licensing Manager Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, Chairman of the First Instance Body Siman Alie Mans Conteh, and Chairman of the Appeals Body Emmanuel Tamba Bundor. They join representatives from fifteen other Member Associations.

 

The seminar covers a wide range of topics, including the current status of club licensing systems, preparation for licensing decisions for the 2024/25 CAF Interclub competitions, and training on the CLOP stadium module. The event was inaugurated by Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku, with opening remarks from Mohammad Sidat, Head of Professional Football at CAF. This seminar aims to enhance the management capabilities of Member Associations in club licensing to ensure compliance with CAF standards.
