Michael Caine announces retirement at age 90

Michael Caine has announced that he will retire at the age of 90, bringing an end to an illustrious career that won him two Oscars.

 

Following his comments last month that he had "retired, so to speak", Mr Caine made it official, telling the BBC's Today program: "I keep saying I'm retiring."

 

``I thought there was a picture that I was in and I was getting incredible reviews...What could I do to top this?''
