Musician Boss La Vows to Surrender to Security Forces Upon Ensuring Safety

Sierra Leonean musician and Red Flag Music (RFM) label owner, Alhaji Amadu Bah, also known as "Boss La" or "LAJ," has expressed his intention to surrender to security forces once assured of his safety. Boss La, released from Pademba Road Prison by assailants, voiced concern for his well-being amid the security situation in Freetown. His departure from prison was attributed to deteriorating security conditions and the absence of visible security personnel.

In a statement from his management, it emphasized that Boss La, a peaceful Sierra Leonean citizen, is not evading authorities but navigating the challenging circumstances. He commits to cooperate with the authorities and plans to present himself to the nearest police station when the curfew is lifted or adequate security measures are in place.

Boss La has proactively contacted the Inspector-General of Police and the Chief Minister to apprise them of his situation. The statement concluded by highlighting his readiness to report to security forces once the situation is clearer and he can ensure his safety.
