Renowned Sierra Leonean hip-hop artist, Alhaji Amadu Bah, popularly known as Boss La, experienced a heartfelt gathering with a group of elderly Fullah women in Freetown following his release from prison on January 1st, 2024, through a presidential pardon.

The gathering was marked by the women singing songs that included the rapper's name, expressing their joy at his presence. During the interaction, Boss La addressed the women, expressing gratitude for their visit and acknowledging the prayers that, according to him, played a significant role in his release.

Boss La opened up about his decision to return to prison after the November 26th prison break, stating that it was a deliberate choice to prove he was not a thief. Growing up in an environment that instilled values of standing up and fighting for what is right rather than resorting to theft, he emphasized his commitment to these principles.

"I would have gone to any country of my choice," Boss La declared, underlining his determination to maintain his integrity.

Acknowledging the love and support his late mother had for the organization represented by the elderly women, Boss La pledged to draw closer to the group and promised to heed their advice. The women reciprocated by expressing their unwavering support, considering Boss La as family and committing to supporting him in any endeavor he chooses.
